The Jamestown Village Homeowners Association

Incorporated in March 1985 by the developer, Centex Homes, the purpose of the Jamestown Village Homeowners Association is to serve the needs of its 100 member households. As the governing body of this planned community, the core responsibilities of the Association are to:
  • Oversee, maintain, improve and insure the common property (including park, playground, pond, paths, trees, fields, fences and common drives).

  • Preserve the architectural theme of the neighborhood which, in turn, preserves or increases our property values.

If you would like a quick overview of what it means to live in the Jamestown Village Homeowners Association, download this
Jamestown-At-A-Glance document.  It is a brief summarization to familiarize you and your family with the neighborhood, the Association and Jamestown as a part of the Plymouth community.  Remember, this is just a summary and although they can be difficult to read and understand, you will also want to become familiar with the Bylaws, Covenants and Declarations of this Association.

The JVHA Board

The Association is directed by an all-volunteer Board of homeowners who ensure that the financial responsibilities of the Association are met. The Board is also required by Association bylaws to review all plans submitted by homeowners who wish to make exterior changes such as additions, decks, landscaping, fences, kennels and satellite dishes. The intent of the Board is not to inhibit individuality but, rather, to apply a common sense approach to maintaining the architectural unity and integrity of the community.

Each November, the Annual Meeting of the Association is held to elect new Board members and address issues of concern. Notice of this Annual Meeting is mailed to all homeowners approximately 30 days prior to the meeting. In the event that no volunteers are available or willing to serve as Board members, the Association would then be directed by a professional management company at an additional expense to Jamestown Village homeowners.

Please keep in mind that it takes people like you to make the Association work. We encourage you to take an active role in your Association and join with your neighbors to help make Jamestown Village a better place to live.
